Jim is speaking on family worship this week at the Teach Them Diligently Convention in Omaha. I won’t be able to attend this conference, but I looked at the list of speakers and found several that sounded really interesting and helpful.
Heidi St. John – is the author of the book The Busy Mom’s Guide to Daylight, she blogs at The Busy Mom, where she encourages other homeschool mom’s.
Amy Roberts – is a homeschooling mother who blogs at Raising Arrows, she is speaking at the conference on creating a peaceful home and creating the perfect schedule.
Denise Eide – When her own children struggled to learn to read, through intensive research Denise discovered an Orton based reading program that provided answers to her own questions about English and changed the lives of her children. She has written a book called Uncovering the Logic of English: A Common-Sense Approach to Reading, Spelling and Literacy.
Heather Laurie – Heather is a homeschooling mom whose 5 children have both medical and learning problems, she started a blog to encourage other homeschoolers who have children with learning difficulties.
Hal and Melanie Young – This homeschooling husband and wife have 8 children and wrote a book on Raising Real Men, they are speaking this weekend on the subject of their book, raising boys to be real men.
Have you attended any of the Teach Them Diligently Conventions? Or maybe another homeschool convention? I’d love to hear about your experience in the comments.
